How do I find items in the library?

1. Go to the Library catalogue.
2. In the search bar, you can search any of the following:

  • Author: enter the first and last name of the author
  • Title: enter the title
3. Click on the title of the item to find out the item's location and current availability.


How do I renew my loans online?

1. Go to the Library catalogue.
2. Click Login.
3. Enter your Borrower ID and PIN.
4. Click Current Loans.
5. Tick the box next to item(s) you want to renew selections.
6. Click the Renew button.

 
Items are renewed for 2 weeks. Items may only be renewed twice.

 
For online renewals, renew on or before the due date. The system will not allow renewal of items that are already overdue, items on Inter Library Loan, or items that have been requested by another patron.


How do I request an item?

You may request an item from any Wingecarribee Public Libraries branch and any item that is currently on loan.

 
1. Search the library catalogue for the item you wish to request.
2. Check the item’s availability.
3. Click Place Reservation.
4. Enter your Borrower ID and your PIN.
5. Choose the Library you wish to collect your item from.
6. Click Continue.

 
Please allow extra time for items being transferred from another Wingecarribee Library branch. Items are sent via courier every weekday.
Requested items are available to collect for 11 days.


How do I get a PIN?

In the library:
1. Choose 4 numbers you can easily remember.
2. Library staff will register your PIN.

Over the phone:
1. Call the library on 1300 266 235.
2. A staff member will verify your identity using your library card number and account details.
3. Choose 4 numbers you can easily remember.
4. Library staff will register your PIN. 

For security reasons PINs cannot be set or changed via email. 


Do I have to return an item to the branch that I borrowed it from?

All borrowed items may be returned to any of our four branches: Bowral Central Library, Mittagong Library, Moss Vale Library, and ROADS Mobile Library.


Do I receive a reminder before my items become overdue?

If you register for PreOverdue Notices you will receive a courtesy notice via email 3 days before items become overdue. To find out how to register see PreOverdue Notices.
