Posted on: November 9th, 2016
150 years of NSW Government Gazettes have recently been digitised and are now available free to the public!
The digitisation of this collection of over a million pages of official records was achieved through partnership between the State Library of NSW and the National Library of Australia, via the SLNSW's Digitial Excellence Program funded by the NSW government.
The collection comprises an enormous range of documents from 1862 all the way through to 2001, covering everything from small, local government notices to the names of convicts arriving in Australia.
Available for free, the collection is a fantastic resource for those investigating their family history and for those interested in the history of New South Wales and Australia.
